Originally established in 1993, the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club was the brainchild of Tan Sri Dato’ Jamil Mohd Jan. He had the vision to transform a 450-acre stretch of land into a lush golf course that would draw in enthusiasts from across the world. The doors of Glenmarie Golf & Country Club were officially opened to its patrons on 29th January 1994 and the inauguration ceremony was graced by the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Over the following years since its inception, our establishment started gaining popularity amongst pro-golfers and we became recognised in the global golfing arena. Thus, we had the privilege to host a variety of local and international golfing events! Through our passion and commitment to the sport, we have become the gold standard for golf in Shah Alam! We are now one of the preeminent golf clubs in south Asia and our courses today are preferred by prestigious golfing bodies as the venues to host their championships! You can appreciate how successful this endeavour was by gazing through the collection of awards and recognitions that Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort has garnered since its inception.
